General Information
What is the PostGraduate Assembly in Anesthesiology (PGA)?
The PostGraduate Assembly in Anesthesiology (PGA) is a four-day event sponsored by the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists (NYSSA), held each December in New York City. It is the second-largest anesthesiology meeting in the United States, drawing more than 4,000 attendees from around the world. The PGA serves as a global platform for networking and sharing the latest advancements in anesthesia. The PGA’s scientific program offers more than 190 sessions, special lectures and hands-on workshops. Attendees have the opportunity to share innovative ideas in perioperative medicine, intensive care, emergency medicine and pain management, as well as evidence-based knowledge of primary clinical relevance.

Yes, a confirmation email will be sent after registration is completed.
Can I register onsite?
Registration is available on site. We recommend you register in advance to take advantage of the best registration rates and to save time when you arrive.
What is the cancellation/refund policy?
All refunds must be requested via email to [email protected] by September 30, 2026. A $75 administrative fee will apply. No refunds will be issued after September 30, 2026.
Are discounts available for students or residents?
Yes. Reduced registration rates are available for medical students and residents. You can access our fees page here.
Hotel & Travel
Is there a discounted room block?
Yes. A limited number of discounted rooms at the New York Marriott Marquis are available until 11/17/2026. A link will be included in the registration confirmation email.
What airport is closest to the venue?
The PGA Meeting is conveniently accessible from all three major New York area airports — John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) — providing attendees with a variety of convenient travel options.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available on site at the Marriott Marquis. Current rates can be found on the hotel website.

Will sessions be recorded?
A select number of Scientific Panels will be recorded and available on demand after PGA.
How do I choose sessions?
Attendees may attend sessions included with their registration. Participation in Case-Based Learning Discussions (CBLDs), Workshops and the Thursday Master Class offerings are available for an additional fee.
Are CME credits offered?
Yes, you can earn up to 39.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ during PGA80.

Is there programming specifically for medical students?
Yes. The PGA Medical Student Program offers specialty-focused educational sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship, and interactive activities.

Will there be networking opportunities?
Yes. The conference includes exhibit hall events and spaces throughout the venue to network with your peers.
